Cancellation policy

Scribigo GmbH (hereinafter ‹scribigo›) informs consumers about the right of withdrawal for contracts for digital services and digital content that are not supplied on a physical data carrier – in particular the purchase of Scribits, Document Flats, flat-rate subscriptions and comparable online services for text processing, correction, analysis and translation.

Right of cancellation

You have the right to withdraw within fourteen days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day of conclusion of the contract.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). You can use the sample withdrawal form below for this purpose, but it is not mandatory.

To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your notification of exercising your right of cancellation before the cancellation period expires.

Consequences of cancellation

If you withdraw from this contract and your right of withdrawal still exists, we will refund all payments we have received from you immediately and no later than fourteen days from the day on which notification of your withdrawal was received by us. For this refund, we will use the same payment method you used in the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in no case will you be charged any fees for this refund.

Practical at scribigo: If you have not yet used any paid service after purchase (e.g. have not started any revision, analysis or comparable AI processing where credit is consumed), you can withdraw within the withdrawal period and receive the full purchase price back. As soon as you start such a service and consume credit, the execution of the contract is deemed to have begun – provided you have agreed to early service provision in the ordering process (see next section). Your right of withdrawal then expires; a refund is no longer possible in this case, not even partially for unused credit.

Expiration of the right of withdrawal for digital content

For contracts for digital content that is not supplied on a physical data carrier (e.g. automated text processing, corrections, proofreading services, Scribits credit, Document Flats and comparable online services), your right of withdrawal expires if:

  • we have begun to perform the contract after you have expressly consented that we may begin performance of the contract before the withdrawal period expires, and
  • you have confirmed your knowledge that you will lose your right of cancellation by giving your consent at the beginning of the execution.
  • This consent is given actively in the ordering process by checking the appropriate box before completing the order.
  • At scribigo, the beginning of performance is in particular the start of a paid AI processing (e.g. revision, analysis, translation) in which acquired credit is consumed – not merely the purchase or crediting of Scribits to your account.
